Table of the Lord

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. 1 Peter 3:18

Today we are reminded that we are all Sinners and we fall short from the Glory of God everyday, But God loved us so much that he sent us his precious gift so that we can hold that gift near and dear to our hearts.

What a beautiful thing that is that God no matter how much we push him away, no matter how many times we fail him, no matter how many times we can’t forgive ourselves he forgives us and makes us whole again. Christ suffered for OUR sins. Not just mine, not just my family’s, not just my churches but OUR sins. How many times do we take that for granted? How many time do we turn a blind eye to God? Christ suffered for you and me to be here on earth preach a word of salvation and yet we can’t do that.

Christ died for those the righteous and unrighteous. Do you know how incredible that is? That Christ died for you who believes but also for those who don’t. The amount of grace that he pours on to us and yet we don’t see his mercies, yet we don’t believe in miracles everyday. We witness them everyday that we get in a car and make it home safe. The moment we are saved from an accident, the way we are shown the miracle of birth, the way we are shown love by strangers because there is something different about us. He did it all broke that veil made sure that he completed everything so that we can not only know who God was but that we don’t have to seek God through someone else but seek God for OURSELVES!

He died but as you and I both know HE IS ALIVE. His physical body was put to death but he is alive in Spirit. I don’t know about you. I know I’m a sinner, I know I fall short, I know that I’m not perfect, I know that I need more time to get myself together. BUT I’m not alone I have Christ who holds my hand through it all.

I’m not worthy but he carries me to the table. A place I have no business being yet he opens the chair wide for me to take a place because He died so I can take a seat at the Table.

Are you allowing God to seat you at the table?
